"You Complete Me." What girl didn't love that line in Jerry McGuire? What if that's a little off-base though? What if there is no man that can really complete us? What if it is only God that can do that because we were design to be complete in Him?
"...You said that if God designed people for an intimate connection with himself, then we are incomplete without him. But don't you think that God is just a crutch for some people?"
"I suppose that depends on what you were created for," he answered. "If you were created for life without God, then he's a crutch. If on the other hand, the very reason you were created is for an intimate relationship with God, then he's not a crutch. He's the fulfillment of what you were created to be."
What if you could spend a day talking with Jesus? What would you ask? Maybe much of the same questions as Mattie. A very worthwhile read.
