This book is worth reading for the first paragraph alone. Even if you have never lived in Texas, you will feel right at home with this book and its entertaining insight into culture there.
Lisa writes a great book (it made me laugh, cry, hold my breath and sigh) that will leave you delighted whether you consider this your genre of choice or not! It was also refreshing for the heroine's love interest to not be the "cutest" guy in the story.
